My Parents’ Travel Chronicles! Season 1 (South India Pilgrimage)|Episode 2

My Father is 67 years old and my mother is 60 years old! Sharing the below experiences shared by my father M.S.Goutham :

“MY TWO-WEEK SOUTH INDIA PILIGRIM TRAVEL EXPERIENCES – HOTEL STAYS.”

“THE CHANCES OF LANDING IN GOOD / DECENT HOTELS BOOKED THROUGH PORTALS LIKE IRCTC / MAKE MY TRIP ARE 50:50. BECAUSE THE INFORMATION AND THE PHOTOS THEY SHOW IN THE PORTAL ARE VERY DECEPTIVE SOMETIMES.”

“THE HOTEL WE STAYED IN KANYAKUMARI WAS THE WORST I HAVE EVER STAYED IN MY LIFE AND THE ONE WE STAYED IN GURUVAYUR WAS VERY BAD. CHENNAI AND TIRUVANANTHAPURAM HOTELS WERE GOOD. MY SUGGESTION IS IF YOU ARE TRAVELLING IN OFF-SEASON, BETTER DECIDE THE HOTEL AFTER REACHING THE PLACE, BY PERSONALLY ENQUIRING LOCALS AND VISITING THE HOTELS AND THEN DECIDE.”

“POST CORONA, MOST OF THE HOTELS HAVE STOPPED KEEPING NORMAL WATER. VISITORS ARE FORCED TO BUY BOTTELED WATER AT A PREMIUM PRICE. EVEN THE HOUSE KEEPING AND ROOM SERVICE STAFF HAVE BEEN MINIMIZED, CAUSING INCONVENIENCE TO VISITORS.”

“AT TWO PLACES – TIRUCHIRAPALLY AND CHIDAMBARAM WE BOOKED RAILWAY RETIRING ROOMS.THE ONE AT TRICHY RUN BY IRCTC IS MAINTAINED WELL. BUT THE ONE AT CHIDAMBARAM UNDER RAILWAYS IS VERY BADLY MAINTAINED.”
